Want to know how I get awesome product photos? Diffusion!
I snagged a fotodio 4x4 diffuser - it comes with a boom pole, silver reflector, and the 4x4 frame and white 3/4 diffusion. This thing is EPIC! One person can easily put it together and get it mounted.
I bought it for shooting in sunlight / diffusion with lights that don't have a softbox. It's so cool.
Here we have a black sheet clamped up, a Godox 200watt light pointed top down. And then the trick to make these killer - shooting my Cineflex through the fotodiox so it brings up the detail on the subject without losing the EPIC top down lighting.
And here's PEPPER!
And COCO!
For these photos I'm using the fotodiox as a backdrop - you can see the brighter spot where the Cineflex is hitting the fotodiox 4x4. It has a pleasing gradient. If I were to do this again I'd probably back the Cineflex light off so it's not as hot and more evenly spread out.
