Hi all! I figured I'd talk about cameras and some of the gear I'm using.
Soon as the Blackmagic Pocket 4K camera was available for preorder I snagged it! I've been using it nonstop ever since. I now own two and at least one of them gets used weekly.
I bought a cage for the Pocket so I could protect it and rig it up with accessories. This is what I bought:
Lemme tell you - this completely transformed how I can use the camera in several ways - and the camera now lives in the cage 24/7 with the exception of some occasional cleanings.
Two weeks after I bought it the camera took a dive off a piano and fell 4 ft to the floor and everything survived. Money saved!
I mentioned I rigged it up - here's a few accessories you should really consider snagging:
I love the Side handle - it holds the Samsung T5 SSD harddrive I record to. It's comfy and sturdy.
This 15mm single rod clamp is everything! I use it to mount the Tilta Nano Wireless Fallow Focus motor. Super easy to remove the 15mm rod.
I also snagged the USB and HDMI clamps - I didn't have it at first but I found the HDMI signal would cut out if the cable moved too much. So this works great:

I found the top handle a must have:
I also bought a 15mm baseplate:

The baseplate is great for attaching the camera to tripods, sliders, etc. You can also easily rig it into shoulder rigs.
Here's a few rig pictures from a few fun shoots including JASON RISING bts.
Did you find something else really cool I should know about?
